Jazz guitarist/vocalist Chris Cortez released his fourth solo CD in August/September 2003. He was a consulting member of the faculty at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS where he taught intermediate and advanced jazz guitar studies..
Although he is well known for playing jazz, it's Chris' versatility and love of all music that keeps him in demand.
Chris performs solo, and often takes a supporting role with provocative area groups like the Caribbean jazz group Kaiso., He also regularly leads his own quartet, Chris Cortez and Friends.
